As your fund grows, our team negotiates with your creditors. When we reach an offer, we bring it to you. Nothing moves forward without your written approval.

Pay off

Once you approve, settlements are paid from your account.

How we work

Five commitments, in writing.

We know you’ve heard promises before. Instead, here’s exactly how we work.

First, we make sure you have a plan.: As part of your process with us, you get the Cenit Access Plan™ powered by Fortress, which helps keep legal fees predictable and affordable.
Your money has purpose.: Your payments cover your Cenit Access Plan™ and payment processing, as well as deposits into a settlement account, where funds build toward resolving your enrolled debts.
Your deposits stay yours.: You own and control the account your monthly deposits go into. You can check the balance any time. Funds are for settlement payments only.
Nothing is paid without your signature.: Every settlement comes to you first. You review the terms and approve them in writing before a single dollar is paid.
We tell you the hard parts, too.: Debt settlement isn’t right for everyone. Some creditors may keep contacting you, take legal action, or decline to settle. Forgiven debt may also be taxable. We’ll walk you through the risks before you enroll, and keep you informed along the way.

Licensed attorneys supervise every client’s program, and every step is explained in plain language.

Who you’ll work with

Your supervising attorney.: A licensed attorney oversees your program, reviews your case, and is involved in the decisions that matter.
Your direct support team.: A team of specialists answers your questions, keeps you updated, and makes sure nothing surprises you.
Our negotiation team.: These are the people who speak with your creditors, work toward fair offers, and bring every one of them to you for approval.

Some things others like you have wondered about:

Are you actually lawyers?: Yes. Cenit Law is a law firm, and our settlement program is supervised by licensed attorneys.
So how does this work?: You make one monthly payment. Part of it goes into an account in your name, and part covers your Cenit Access Plan™ and payment processing. As your account grows, we negotiate with your creditors to accept less than what you owe, and we bring every offer to you. Most programs take 36–48 months. We can’t promise a specific result, but we’ll be straight with you the whole way.
Who controls my money?: You do. Your deposits go into a dedicated account that you own. We never take control of it. Money only leaves your account when you approve a settlement payment.
Do I get a say in every settlement?: Every single one. You’ll see the terms first, and nothing gets paid unless you approve it in writing.
What’s this going to cost me?: Your monthly payment has two parts. One part goes into your settlement account, which you own and control, to build toward settling your debts. The other covers your Cenit Access Plan™ and payment processing. Our settlement fee is separate: it’s earned only after a debt is settled and you’ve approved it.
Is this going to hurt my credit?: It can. Accounts in the program are usually behind or fall behind, and that can affect your score. We’ll talk through what to expect before you decide.
What about calls from creditors and collectors?: You may continue to receive calls or communications about your accounts while you’re in the program. How those communications can be handled may differ depending on whether you’re hearing from the original creditor or a third-party debt collector. Our team can help you understand what to do when you receive them.
Could I still get sued?: It’s possible. Being in the program doesn’t stop a creditor from taking legal action. If you get court papers, call us right away, because they come with deadlines.
Will I owe taxes on what’s forgiven?: Maybe. Forgiven debt can sometimes count as income. We don’t give tax advice, so it’s worth a quick conversation with a tax professional.
What if my situation changes?: Just call us. If money gets tight or you need to adjust your deposit, we’ll work through your options together. And if you decide to leave, the money in your account is yours, minus any fees already earned.
Can my family be part of this?: Of course. With your permission, your spouse, your adult children, a financial advisor, or anyone you trust can join calls and ask questions.
